OUR NEW SAINT
Our new saint since last year is St. Pius of Pietralcina, better known to most of the world as Padre Pio. TO THINK HE ACCEPTED ALL OF US OF EHS AS HIS SPIRITUAL CHILDREN, IS OVER WHELMING! We can't thank him enough, and Mary Pyle, Dave Whalen and Lorie Woltemath, our first convert and Shrine Keeper #736., all of whom played their part in obtaining his most cherished safeguarding. Our Saint will be on "guard duty" until the last of us is safely in Heaven! Wow!
Congratulations to Fr. Joseph Maria Nilsson OFM / CONV. of Sweden, who finally lucked out! Father was always a little sad that his ordination day was not on a special feast day. And then finally came the canonization of St. Padre Pio on SEPTEMBER 23rd -- ALSO the ANNIVERSARY OF FR. JOSEPH MARIA'S ORDINATION!
Sometimes it's as though God puts in front of me what He wants me to use! A case in point: I have this one sheet of an EHS bulletin written before our 41st anniversary of EHS -- way back then! That one sheet celebrates Padre Pio's beatification and our Round the World Tabernacle Prayer in which our members begged that thru these EHS ShrineS, added to the tabernacles of the world, the-not-yet enlightened would come to the vision of His
Divine Presence. The concluding paragraph is addressed to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, begging her to continue praying for our ILLUMINATION. Who would have dreamed that Pope John Paul would one day establish the LUMINOUS Mysteries of the Rosary!
Here they are: (just in case you might have been hoping to find them reprinted somewhere.) 1. Jesus' Baptism; 2. The Marriage Feast at Cana; 3. Jesus' Public Life & Miracles; 4. The Transfiguration; 5. The Last Supper.
